At this point of the year and you still have foot pain?
Suffering is not optional, you have a multitude of solutions on the market to relieve foot pain and regain those walks or put on that shoe you loved so much.
What causes foot pain
90% of foot pain is caused by 3 pathologies: metatarsalgia, heel spurs and plantar fasciitis.
Of course there are other ailments that can cause foot pain, but these are the main ones and the ones that occur most frequently.
We will tell you below what each of these pathologies is like, but in many cases they are also related.
That is to say, it is common for a person with metatarsalgia to also develop plantar fasciitis problems if he or she does not resolve the pain.
Metatarsalgia
Metatarsalgia is inflammation of the metatarsal area.
Although metatarsalgia is not a serious condition, it can affect your day-to-day life by causing constant pain in the sole of your foot, just behind your toes.
This pain becomes more intense when standing, walking or running, especially on hard surfaces (and especially if you go barefoot on these surfaces).
Plantar fasciitis
The plantar fascia is a thick band of tissue that runs across the sole of the foot, from the heel to the metatarsals (under the toes).
It connects the heel bone to the toes, thus maintaining the plantar arch and absorbing the energy produced by each step.
When this band of tissue becomes inflamed, it causes what is known as plantar fasciitis. Plantar fasciitis causes pain when walking, especially in the morning when starting to walk.
It is also common after prolonged standing, or resuming activity after sitting.
Calcaneal Spur
A calcaneal spur is a calcification that forms irregularly around the heel bone, in a triangular or hook shape.
It usually produces an intense pain in the heel, with pinching in the internal part.
The pain appears because the surrounding area is inflamed.
It worsens with weight and movement, and as you walk.
In the most severe cases, pain is also felt in the area when getting up in the mornings.
How to relieve foot pain
Now that you know what causes foot pain, let’s find a solution!
We will now talk about the Inoles that provide solutions to all or each of these ailments:
Insole for pain in the pad
Pain in the pad, or the area under the toes, is related to metatarsalgia. Smou Meta Inoles are specially designed to relieve pain caused by metatarsalgia.
Latex Insole with metatarsal relief, with a unique design to promote relief and rest in the plantar pad area.
The material of construction is synthetic latex foam gel, comfortable and flexible but also durable.
They are memory foam so they will remember the shape of your foot and will gradually become almost a custom-made insole.
They have an absorbent microfiber lining, so you can wear them in summer and without socks, as they are breathable.
You also have at your disposal the Smou Daily, which are smaller, specially designed for narrow feet and small shoes.
Which can be really useful in these summer months when we wear more open shoes.
With the Smou Dialy it is difficult to see that you are wearing insoles.
Insole for midfoot or inner arch pain
The midfoot or inner arch area is affected by plantar fasciitis.
For this ailment you have at your disposal:
Smou Heel heel cushions
They are heel cushions, they are smaller than traditional insoles, the front part and even the area below the toes, do not carry it.
This makes them especially practical for sandals and open-toed shoes, useful in these summer months.
Smou Heel heel cushions also cover calcaneal spurs, but if this is not your problem, don’t worry because it won’t be counterproductive or uncomfortable.
On the contrary, due to its good distribution and manufacturing materials, you will avoid future ailments.
The Insole Smou Complet
The Smou Complet are our first insoles and cover the 3 pathologies we described at the beginning of the post: metatarsalgia, heel spurs and plantar fasciitis.
They are the most complete and the ones we sell the most, but for example for summer and if you don’t have metatarsalgia problems, the Smou Heel could be more useful for you since you can wear them without being seen.
Smou Daily Insole
These insoles to relieve foot pain will be especially useful for narrow feet and high heels or narrow shoes.
You know that standard insoles often don’t fit in an evening or special occasion shoe, and with this in mind we have designed the Smou Daily.
So that on your nights out and days at the office you can take care of your feet and still wear your favorite insoles.
They cover the pain in the pad and on the inside of the foot, not the spur.
Insole for heel pain
For the heel area we have:
Smou Heel Insole
Smou Heel insoles have been introduced to you when talking about plantar fasciitis or pain in the inner arch or midfoot area.
These insoles also cover the pathology that causes heel pain (heel spur).
They incorporate a removable piece with which you can leave the spur free of friction with any surface.
And since they do not have a front part, but rather the insole starts in the midfoot area, you can wear your best sandals even if you have a heel spur.
Insole Smou Complet
Smou Complet insoles cover the 3 pathologies that cause 90% of foot pain: metatarsalgia, heel spurs and plantar fasciitis.
They are insoles with metatarsal relief, internal arch support and heel relief.
They incorporate the same removable piece that you have in the Smou Heel, to provide total relief of the heel area.
They are suitable for all types of feet, and like the other insoles in our range, Smou Complet insoles are also patented by orthopedists.
Due to their size, they are perhaps not the best to wear with open shoes, but they are breathable.
You can wear them in summer without socks.
Insole for foot pain relief
And if you don’t specifically have any of these ailments, but your feet ache at the end of the day, you spend long shifts on your feet or you wear safety boots, you’ll be interested to know that Smou Comfort is specially designed for them.
